Foundations Recovery Network Professional Free Webinar Series: An Update on Genetics in Substance Use Disorders

Millennium Health is sponsoring the free Foundations Recovery Network’s 2014 Professional Webinar Series. This free, one-hour webinar entitled An Update on Genetics in Substance Use Disorders (SUD), will be presented by Millennium’s Naissan Hussainzada, PhD, on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. (PT)/ 1 p.m. (ET). Recent research is shedding light on individual genetic variations and how those variations may impact an individual’s response to medications and illicit substances and can alert a treatment provider to the propensity for SUD. Current and future genetic tests available to support SUD treatment will be presented, along with ways to incorporate these tests to the therapeutic plan. Registered attendees who watch the entire live program are eligible to receive continuing education (CE) credit for counselors, therapists, and alcohol/drug counselors.
