Eugene I. Davis, Chairman of the Board
Gene Davis is chairman and chief executive officer of PIRINATE Consulting Group, LLC, which he founded in 1999. During his tenure, he has worked extensively with businesses in the healthcare and medical technology industries. Davis held senior executive positions at Total-Tel USA Communications, Emerson Radio Corp. and Sports Supply Group prior to founding PIRINATE. He has served on numerous boards for companies, in various capacities. He also currently serves as the Chairman of the Trust Advisory Board of the Millennium Corporate Claim Trust and the Millennium Lender Claim Trust created in connection with the Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganization for the Millennium Debtors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international politics, a master’s degree in international law and organization, and a juris doctorate.
Jeffrey D. Goldberg, Director
Jeffrey D. Goldberg is a board member and former executive of several health care companies. He currently serves as chair of the board for LifeCare Holdings, a national long term acute hospital system and chair of the board of M*Modal, a leading clinical documentation and technology company. Goldberg’s former experience includes board and executive roles in both medical technology and health care services. Goldberg holds a J.D. from UCLA School of Law and a degree in general studies with cum laude honors from Harvard College.
Stephen Gray, Director
Stephen Gray is a managing member of Gray & Company, LLC, with over forty years of experience leading the successful turnarounds and restructuring of hundreds of public and privately held companies as an advisor, CEO, CRO or a court appointed fiduciary in numerous industries. He previously led the Fiduciary Services Practice at Deloitte, and was a senior managing partner at CRG Partners, which Deloitte acquired in 2012. Prior to CRG, Gray founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of The Recovery Group and was in the Corporate Development Staff of Arthur D. Little, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering science, and was a master’s level teaching fellow at Tufts University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the International Insolvency Institute.
Joan B. Stafslien, Director
Stafslien is currently the executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for NuVasive, Inc. Prior to that, she was the executive vice president, general counsel & corporate secretary and chief compliance officer for CareFusion Corporation, an S&P 500 medical technology company. She previously served as senior vice president and general counsel for the medical devices segment of Cardinal Health, and as deputy general counsel for Alaris Medical Systems. She currently sits on the advisory board for Northwestern University Chemical and Biological Engineering Department. Stafslien holds a J.D. with cum laude honors from University of Wisconsin Law School and a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Northwestern University.
Jennifer Strickland, PharmD, BCPS, Director
Dr. Strickland is currently the Vice President of Operations for Tenet Healthcare where she oversees labor management, ancillary services, construction and design, operations and innovation for their hospitals. Prior to that, she served as COO at Millennium Health with oversight on laboratory and commercial operations, managed markets and genetics R&D, leading business operations efficiency initiatives and new genetics product development. She joined Millennium in 2011, building the clinical and education teams and later headed the pharmacogenetic testing (PGT) and medication monitoring business lines as General Manager. Dr. Strickland has served in numerous leadership roles in pharmacy and pain management within hospitals, including Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She also served in various educator roles, including as a preceptor for doctor of pharmacy students and a residency director for a specialty pharmacy residency in pain and palliative care at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Dr. Strickland received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and subsequently completed a specialty pharmacy residency in pain management at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla. She is published in the areas of pain management and palliative care and has spoken nationally on related topics, including opioid pharmacology, risk management in chronic pain patients, and adjuvant pharmacotherapy for chronic pain.
