As Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer for Millennium Health, Angela G. Huskey, PharmD, CPE, leads Clinical Affairs and collaborates on education and research aimed at improving the lives of people suffering with pain, addiction and other mental health disorders.
Dr. Huskey joined Millennium Health in January 2012 as director of clinical research and education and was named vice president of clinical affairs in September 2012 when she built and led the company’s Clinical Affairs Department, including a high-performing field-based medical science liaison team. In her current role she is responsible for developing and implementing Millennium’s evidence-based clinical strategy, advocating for patients and encouraging collaborative partnerships with our clinician and health plan partners.
Prior to working for Millennium, she practiced as a clinical pharmacy specialist in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, specializing in the care of patients with complex pain syndromes and held various medical affairs positions in the pharmaceutical industry, responsible for developing and managing key opinion leader relationships, clinical education, and collaborative research.
Dr. Huskey is a graduate of University Of Georgia where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. She worked as a research chemist and later received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree with highest honors from the University Of Florida College Of Pharmacy. At Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, Dr. Huskey completed a specialty residency in pain management and palliative care. She is a clinical assistant professor at the University Of Florida College Of Pharmacy and coordinator of the Pain Management and Palliative Care elective. Dr. Huskey is a Certified Pain Educator (CPE) and was the 2012 recipient of the American Society of Pain Educators ‘Pain Educator of the Year’ Award.
