Matt’s Story
“We do not see drug testing as a punishment, but rather a way for our patients to become more accountable and setting them on the path for future success.“
“Before Millennium UDT℠, we were relying on presumptive (immunoassay) testing which oftentimes provided false positives. By utilizing definitive LC-MS/MS testing, we get accurate results; and if we have questions or need help with interpretation, the Millennium Health toxicology team always provides clear explanations of test results.” – Matt Luneau, Director
The Life House in St. James Parish, Louisiana is a facility that offers a structured environment for men with a substance use disorder (SUD).
According to Director Matt Luneau, “We do not see drug testing as a punishment, but rather a way for our patients to become more accountable and setting them on the path for future success.” Matt adds that prior to working with Millennium Health, there was a significant amount of drug use among their patients, and that individuals had even overdosed in their parking lot. However, since using definitive Millennium UDT for their drug testing program, they’ve been able to more accurately detect drug use and conduct interventions sooner; therefore, drug use has dropped significantly.
Another service that has made a huge contribution to The Life House program is our credentialed team of toxicologists, who are available to help interpret RADAR® Reports via our RADAR Hotline.
Matt himself was a graduate from Life House 14 years ago, along with 5 other current onsite employees. He really appreciates how Millennium UDT and our RADAR Hotline has contributed to the success of their program and how it has positively impacted their local community over the years.
